Catching Up (again!!)

Lovely lie in for all of us today - we don't seem to have had one of those in a while! - so while I'm sat here with my hair in a towel....yes, I've just got out of the shower, thought I would try and catch up with my blogging. Managed to visit some of the blogs last night whilst watching "I'm A Celebrity" (don't know who I dislike the most, Nicola or David!!) and will visit the rest over the next couple of days.

I received an award from the talented Zoe a little while ago - thank you so much Zoe and big apologies for not dealing with it sooner.

It's so nice to be appreciated even if I have been a bad blogger!! Because I'm so late in posting this, I think most of you have already received it, so I would like to pass it on to all you loyal crafting buddies who have still been visiting me and leaving comments even though I have been AWOL!

Next, there's some gorgeous candy up for grabs from Ila - I just love her work and wish I could produce cards like her.....they are absolutely stunning! Talking of candy, I haven't forgotten about my blogoversary and will have some of my own up for grabs next week, so please keep checking back.

Finally, have a card to show. This was a very quick and simple one which is how all my cards have been of late - one of my New Year resolutions is to try and spend a bit more time and thought on them!

The image is Edwin from Magnolia and he's been coloured with Promarkers. Papers are from Pink Petticoat, sentiment is Penny Black, flower is a Flora Doodle from Joanna Sheen and brad is from my stash. Sticky gems are from Papermania. Finally, rounded all the corners with my SU punch.

Off to dry my hair now and tackle the ironing! I've been having a real sort out in the house over the last week which included my craft stash (again!) so my brother and brother-in-law are coming round this weekend to do some jobs for me so hopefully, when they're done, I'll be able to tackle a few more Christmas cards!

My Surprise For Tony!!

As promised, I'm back to let you in on my surprise for Tony tomorrow! Don't know where to start with this but maybe a little personal history first. When I married Tony in 1996 I was a UK size 14. I've always had to watch my weight and never been naturally thin but was never vastly overweight either. In March 1997 I fell pregnant with Lewis and that's when the trouble started.....the weight piled on and after he was born as well because I wasn't eating properly and just grabbing food out of the fridge when I had a spare five minutes.....oh, the joys of being a new Mum! Then I got pregnant again with Sam and even though I didn't gain much more weight during pregnancy, I made up for it afterwards! Am I boring you yet! It took me ten years and many failed diets to finally get serious about losing weight so I started my diet in January this year and this is the evidence....... please do not show the first photo to small children or animals as it may scare them !!!!!...
