I was asked to make this card with instructions that it should be air force blue, 8" x 8" in size and have the age on the front.  Well, this was the nearest I could get to the colour but it then took me over an hour to work out which colour which go best with the blue and how to fill the card so the sentiment wasn't lost.  In the end, I decided to mount the sentiment on a large die cut and add a little bit of kraft card. Papers are from Pink Petticoat, embossing folder is Tonic and dies are a mixture of MFT, Tattered Lace and Tim Holtz.  Sentiment is Penny Black.

I was asked to make a "special" card for someone's 70th birthday - the colour and the wording were chosen by the customer. Used the usual design with plenty of embellishments!

Here's a card I made for a friend and thought this stamp was absolutely perfect!  I have had my eye on this image for a while and managed to justify buying it a couple of weeks ago.  I'm not the greatest colourist in the world and I'm a bit rusty as it's been a while since I made the effort to sit down and colour an image.  Therefore, I stamped out a few of these images in case of mistakes and even though they're not brilliant, I was pleased with my efforts… which means I was able to make more than one card! This second one has been added to a bigger card (8" x 8") so decided it needed layering.  Therefore, inked up some plain white card with Distress Inks to try and colour match Edna's dress.

Another male card needed with a significant birthday, so decided to do the same as the 18th card.  I seem to go from one extreme to another….large cards full of embellishments and then smaller ones with a very clean and simple layout - really don't think I have one particular style!

One of my clients is celebrating her Golden Wedding Anniversary this weekend so thought it deserved a "special" kind of card, so came up with this. Inspiration is from Anna Marie (again!)…just love making this type of card.  It's quite a large card - measures 12" x 6" with all kind of embellishments added to it.   Delivered it today and she was extremely pleased with it and it has pride of place in her lounge ready for her party this weekend!

I've got a long list of cards to make at the moment, so was looking for something quick for my Nephew who will be 18.  Have made this card before so thought I would try it in blue and red. The longest part was waiting for the liquid glass to dry on the red 18 - you can just see the shine on it in the photo but unfortunately, it doesn't show the dimension.

Had a couple of cards to make for friends so decided to take the opportunity to make a few of the same to stock up. …and a sneaky couple of New Home cards! Whoops! nearly forgot the card for my nephew for his GCSE results…

I saw this card demonstrated by Sue Wilson last year and have only just got around to having a go! I'm not completely happy with the colour of the holly as I feel it is a little too bright.

After making the 1st Birthday card the other day, thought I would use up the remainder of the Forever Friends decoupage pad with some quick, clean and simple cards. The first one is using the reverse/pyramid style instead of the usual decoupage, whilst the second and third are the traditional decoupage.

More cards using the designs of AMD...love her work!  The first was for my SIL's special birthday and measures 12" x 6", the other two are smaller (8" x 8".

Loving these skulls from Stamp Addicts...they come will plenty of add ons to after seeing a similar design, decided this one would be ideal for a wedding anniversary! I made the following two for male cards and had a play with Pixie Powders and Alcohol Inks for the backgrounds.

These type of cards are proving very popular with friends and family so this time, was asking to make a personalised one for a Ruby Wedding Anniversary.

Another AMD card which I forgot to load on here…this time it's a birthday card for one of my clients.

Since making the larger cards with the AMD designs, I have received a few requests from friends to make some wedding cards. This first one was for a personalised card so used some MDF bunting to add the names.  Must admit, I was beginning to wish the Bride had a shorter Christian name when I was attempting to fit them on! This is a closer look at the heart... This second card didn't require any personalisation so just added a wedding sentiment from Creative Expressions.

Still enjoying making AMD projects and this is the latest I have made for my friend who is celebrating her birthday.  MDF hanging heart and a card.   This second picture shows the dimension of the decoration but is nowhere near to showing the sparkle!

One of my gentlemen clients will reach the grand old age of 90 this week so needed to make a card for him.  Saw this design on Create & Craft last year by the talented Julie Hickey for a Christmas card so thought I would adapt it to a masculine birthday card. Used the "Julie Loves" numeric stamps with Memento coloured inks and added some Glossy Accents to the red 90 to give it a lift.  Added a sentiment from Darkroom Door and a squiggle across the top to balance out the card. I haven't shown it in the photograph, but used a Penny Black stamp on the inside with one of my favourite quotes " How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?".

Here's a card I made for Sam's 14th birthday - Happy Birthday Sammy! The stamps are from Bee Crafty and the background was made by blending Distress Inks.  The "U" in the U Rock was a Tim Holtz die cut which I double embossed to give a shiny effect, and the Happy Birthday sentiment was from Magnolia. Sam's reaction to his card - "That's sick Mum!" which according to will.i.am, is a compliment!

Finally got around to putting a card together with the flowers I made last weekend.  I've always admired Anna Marie Designs and although this is nowhere near her standard, was really pleased with the end result.
