90!

One of my gentlemen clients will reach the grand old age of 90 this week so needed to make a card for him.  Saw this design on Create & Craft last year by the talented Julie Hickey for a Christmas card so thought I would adapt it to a masculine birthday card.


Used the "Julie Loves" numeric stamps with Memento coloured inks and added some Glossy Accents to the red 90 to give it a lift.  Added a sentiment from Darkroom Door and a squiggle across the top to balance out the card.

I haven't shown it in the photograph, but used a Penny Black stamp on the inside with one of my favourite quotes " How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?".

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate Somethings

Friday again and Half Term has started! The boys finished school yesterday so hopefully, we've got a fun day together! The challenge on Stamp Something this week is chocolate - everybody's favourite! and there's one stamp I turn to when that word is mentioned. I've followed the sketch on Mojo Monday for this card. The image is from Penny Black and has been coloured with Promarkers. Cardstock is Bazzill Bling and papers are Doodlebug. Matted the image onto some c.s. which has been run through the Cuttlebug and threaded some ribbon through using SU slot punch. Finally added a brad from my stash . A big thank you to Jose for helping me with my images......love the way some of you girls have been putting a sneak peek at the top of your posts and Jose was nice enough (and clever enough) to explain how to do it. Hope you all have a great weekend.
