...and another one!

These type of cards are proving very popular with friends and family so this time, was asking to make a personalised one for a Ruby Wedding Anniversary.

One I Forgot!

Another AMD card which I forgot to load on here…this time it's a birthday card for one of my clients.

Wedding Card Requests!

Since making the larger cards with the AMD designs, I have received a few requests from friends to make some wedding cards. This first one was for a personalised card so used some MDF bunting to add the names.  Must admit, I was beginning to wish the Bride had a shorter Christian name when I was attempting to fit them on! This is a closer look at the heart... This second card didn't require any personalisation so just added a wedding sentiment from Creative Expressions.

Happy Birthday Sandra!

Still enjoying making AMD projects and this is the latest I have made for my friend who is celebrating her birthday.  MDF hanging heart and a card.   This second picture shows the dimension of the decoration but is nowhere near to showing the sparkle!

90!

One of my gentlemen clients will reach the grand old age of 90 this week so needed to make a card for him.  Saw this design on Create & Craft last year by the talented Julie Hickey for a Christmas card so thought I would adapt it to a masculine birthday card. Used the "Julie Loves" numeric stamps with Memento coloured inks and added some Glossy Accents to the red 90 to give it a lift.  Added a sentiment from Darkroom Door and a squiggle across the top to balance out the card. I haven't shown it in the photograph, but used a Penny Black stamp on the inside with one of my favourite quotes " How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?".

Ghetto Rat

Here's a card I made for Sam's 14th birthday - Happy Birthday Sammy! The stamps are from Bee Crafty and the background was made by blending Distress Inks.  The "U" in the U Rock was a Tim Holtz die cut which I double embossed to give a shiny effect, and the Happy Birthday sentiment was from Magnolia. Sam's reaction to his card - "That's sick Mum!" which according to will.i.am, is a compliment!

A Little Bit of Pretty with Plenty of Sparkle!

Finally got around to putting a card together with the flowers I made last weekend.  I've always admired Anna Marie Designs and although this is nowhere near her standard, was really pleased with the end result.

A Bit of Graffiti!

I recently saw a version of this card demonstrated on TV and thought the image was ideal for teenagers.  Loved making this card as it is very messy and gave me an excuse to use my Distress Spray Inks. Also, found the ideal sentiment stamp which I have had for years by Magnolia - I knew there was a reason for holding on to the many stamps I have!

A Few More from Altenew!

What I love about the Altenew stamps is that you can make cards in minutes, so every time I'm waiting for a phone call or a page to load on the computer etc, I knock one of these up!

Playing with Flowers

I've always loved the products and creations of Anna Maria and was thrilled when she brought out a tutorial on how to create her wonderful flower embellishments.  This is my first attempt...obviously not as good as hers but I'm getting there!  Just got to make the card for them to go on now!

Graphic 45 Birthday Book

Been promising to make myself this book for ages in the hope that it will get me a little more organised.  The design of this book is by Clare Charvill and is very easy to follow. Each pocket has a tag which has the appropriate months on each side and space for you to write the date and name of the person celebrating their birthday.

When is a Die Cut not a Die Cut?

....when it's a stencil!  Here's a very simple but effective card just using a sentiment stamp, a die cut and two distressing inks. I've made three of these cards, each with different sentiments - Just for You, Happy Birthday and Deepest Sympathy.  I think it works for any occasion.

Anyone for Ice-cream?

I've been having a play with my Way Too Sweet stamps from Altenew and working my way through the projects Lydia demonstrated on C&C recently.  Here's the result....

Two Butterflies with One Stone!

I've recently discovered Altenew stamps and after watching the talented Lydia demonstrate, thought I would have a go too. I had to make a "Thank You" card and a "Sympathy" card and thought this design would work perfectly for both. All stamps are from Altenew apart from the "Thinking of You" which is from SU.  Inks are Distress Inks from Tim Holtz.

More Sewing Projects

I'm trying to catch up with projects I've recently completed so thought I would start with the sewing related ones. Firstly, I've completed another bag where I tackled pleats and piping on a small scale... The next project was one which I should have completed last Christmas!  Unfortunately, I haven't been well and alot of projects got postponed, including this one! It's actually a doorstop, however, will be using it as a Christmas decoration later this year! Finally, I tackled oil cloth and zips in one project and it was alot simpler than I had thought... I've decided to use this as storage for my Tilda fat quarters and charm packs as it's quite roomy - in fact it would also work as a shoe bag as well as the obvious wash bag.
