Catch Up Time!

It's been a bit of a battle getting ready for Christmas this year as I had to have an operation at the beginning of December which took longer than anticipated to recover from.  However, I made it, even if I was still making Christmas decorations on Christmas Eve!

This post is to share the different designs of cards I made...

After seeing this card demonstrated, I thought it would be relatively straightforward and ideal for batchmaking - how wrong could I be!  So fiddly and took me ages to clean the die each time so settled on six in the end!

I settled for this card for the batchmaking process as being off ill and unable to do much, I found it relaxing to sit with a lap tray colouring.  However, it wasn't without its problems - unfortunately, the only cards I had in this size were not made of super smooth card stock so the alcohol pens had a tendency to bleed!

I love this cute image but my colouring isn't too good!

All of the above are from Which? Craft and I must say the stamps are such good quality and a pleasure to use.  They colour beautifully - used Kuretake watercolour pens with some Kuretake paints for the wings and Pink Petticoat gingham card.

Finally, my favourite!  If I had more time, I would have made a few of these but needed a special card for my best pal and her Husband. Followed Anna Marie's design but decided to add a deer and was very pleased with the result!

Week 2 of Techniques

It’s the second week of Tando’s FB Live and the tutorial was by Jane Royston. This week the colours are more my style. I didn’t have the exact supplies so had to improvise a little. This was the end result... I love doing these tutorials.  I put aside time for me on a Saturday morning and just get lost in the moment...all worries are forgotten for an hour or so.  I would highly recommend it.

Last of the Whipper Snappers (for the moment!!)

Morning all......is it morning already?!! Had a very hectic night.....got woken up at 1.30 am with the sound of vomit bouncing off the landing carpet!! Sam wasn't very well and didn't quite make it to the bathroom so spent most of the early hours of this morning trying to clean the landing carpet, the carpet in his bedroom, washing bedclothes and cleaning him up!!! Eventually got to bed at 4.30 am then was woken at 9.15 this morning by Sam asking me if I was getting up because his tummy was empty and he was hungry!!! Got to love 'em!! Anyway, at least he's feeling better. Got to try and phone the Carpet Cleaner in a minute and order Sam a new mattress as his is ruined....oh the fun of being a Mother!! Back to business now, here's a card I made during the week with one of my new Whipper Snapper arrivals. I don't know how often I will use this stamp but it was a case of "ooh, it's so sweet, I've just got to have it!!" I've coloured the snai...
