Cake Glorious Cake!

Here's one of the Lili of the Valley stamps I bought at the NEC recently - isn't she cute? Blonde Moments paper and mirricard and a sprinkling of Glamour Dust. The cake stamp on the inside of the card is an old Anita's one I dragged out of the drawer! Got a few more of these LOTV stamps which hopefully should be making an appearance on here over the next few days.

Party Worm

Here's a card I made for my Brother...I love making cards for little boys but not the grown up kind! Anyway found this little fella called Party Worm from Whipper Snapper and used some paper which I had left over from a previous card. Sentiment is SU. Hoping to be able to spend a bit more time on my cards soon with a few more embellishments and detail .

Daddy's Boys

I wanted to share a gift I made for my boys to give to their Dad for his 50th Birthday. I had planned to put the book together during my time at home after my operation however, that didn't happen due to the fact that I was rushed back into hospital so it's taken me nearly six weeks to complete by just doing a little each day. I won't bore you with all the details, however, had this concertina album with box for ages now so started by painting it all cream. For the cover of the box, used one of the SMASH pockets and stamped an SU greeting on the front then got the boys to fill in a page each from a SMASH pad and turned them into labels to put into the pocket. All papers are MME and card stock is SU. All embellishments are from my scrapbook collection (of which I think I have too many!). Kept the layouts all very similar and simple as I wasn't physically able to sit for hours at a time.

Happy Birthday Izzy!

Here's a birthday card for my little Great Niece, Izzy...I think it looks just like her!! Used an image from The Greetings Farm coloured with PM's and a touch of Glamour Dust. Papers are Magnolia and gems are SU. Sentiment is an old one which I can't remember! Also added some more paper and an Elzybell's sentiment to the inside which I forgot to photograph...d'oh!

Get Well Soon Finn!

Sorry my cards aren't very adventurous at the moment, however, as I explained previously, I can't sit for long to create so have to keep them very quick at the moment. Needed to make a dog themed card for someone I work for so chose this cute Whipper Snapper image "Sweet Sniffs of Spring" coloured in the usual way with Promarkers. Papers are Whiff of Joy, gems are SU and sentiment may possibly be Woodware although not totally sure!

How Old Do You Think You Are?

Here's a card I made for my Brother-in-Law who will be 70 tomorrow! Always find it difficult to make cards for men so took the colours and layout from the typewriter card I made but used the stars paper from Pink Petticoat instead of the hearts and added a star cut using my Cricut (once I'd cleaned off the dust from it!). The main image is a stamp from Penny Black. Well, I'm slowly recovering but it definitely is a VERY slow process which doesn't help because I'm not a very patient kind of person! Have a great weekend.

Not Sure About This One

Felt a bit out of my comfort zone with this card. Wanted to use this Rubber Romance image because it looks like the girl I've made the card for, however, it's quite a large stamp which meant having to use a bigger card. Only used to using small square cards so when I'd finished, it looked like too much patterned paper for my liking!

Here's One I Pinched Earlier!

Needed to make quite a few simple cards to say thank you and remember seeing a card on Leann's blog which she featured for Pink Petticoat. Needless to say, I bought the images and mine isn't quite as good as hers as no stitching etc but was really pleased with the end result. I love Leann's work and wish I could create with such charm.

Feels Like Me!

Must admit feel a bit like this snail at the moment...couldn't rush if I tried so keep plodding along! Needed a New Home card for one of my ladies I work for so this Whipper Snapper image got inked up as it's a favourite of mine for this type of card. Papers are a combination of MME and sentiment is Papertrey Inc. Unfortunately, can't use my sewing machine at the moment as it's too heavy for me to lift onto the table, so once again, a very simple and straightforward card!

A Simple Thank You

I'm using the same simple layout at the moment until I'm fully back on my feet and on this card used a cute little image from Whipper Snapper which I've had for years. Papers are a mixture of MME and Whiff of Joy and sentiment is SU. My health is now starting to improve at long last, however, still have to take it very slowly as my energy levels are nearly zero!

Best Kind of Friend

Here's a card I did the ground work for before going into hospital and managed to finish it off over a couple of days - can't believe how slow I am at the moment and how tired I get! It was for Lewis's best pal - very simple (the card not the friend!)

A Quick Thank You

Just a very quick posting as, at the moment, I am just starting to recover after two operations in less than a week and can't sit for long at the computer. Just wanted to show a card I put together for a lovely lady who works at the hospital who took the time to come and see me in Recovery and found me a bed! She loves cats so thought I'd use this PB image.

A Couple More

Here are the other two cards which I put together...quick and simple!

Finally, something to show!

At last, I've finally got around to making some cards! Life always seems to be so hectic for me - even when I'm not at work! Been on holiday for the last two weeks so have been trying to clear my outstanding job list which is never ending! Also treated myself to a new iMac and I'm VERY slowly teaching myself how to use it - completely different from my old PC but so gorgeous! Anyway, here's one of the cards I made last night. I've had a pile of images sat on my desk for ages - all coloured in so put a couple of cards together. All very plain and simple (just like me!). Will hopefully load the others over the weekend. This card used a Greeting Farm image, Magnolia papers, SU sentiment and punches, Promarkers and some bits and pieces from my stash. Off to enjoy the sunshine now the rain has stopped!

A Special Guy

Just popping by to apologise for my long absence. Unfortunately, my Dad died a few weeks back so apart from not really feeling like making anything, I've been busy trying to sort out all his belongings and house. Got a day off from it today as I need to take Sam to his Tae Kwon-do Grading later today so thought I would take some time to show this card I made ages ago. Won't go into all the detail, and really hope to be back making some more cards soon as I find it takes my mind off things and relaxes me.

Cupcakes

As promised, here's another card I made a week or so ago using a CC Designs image and Magnolia papers. Hope you like it.

...And some for the Boys!

I made these a little while ago but due to various things going on in my life at the moment, haven't had a chance to load them on here. Decided to finish off the other images I stamped after I made the last baby card so made a few boy cards and a couple more girl ones. All very similar using Magnolia papers but different embellishments. Have another card to show which hopefully I will be able to post tomorrow.
