Welcome to 2019

...albeit a little late!

I don't know about other people but after the huge amount of crafting I do in the lead up to Christmas, by the time Christmas is over and I have some spare time to craft, I have lost my mojo which is exactly what happened to me this January.  I decided therefore, to have a bit of a play and try something a little different to what I am used to...candles!


I only had one set of Starlight candle paint colours to play with, hence all the pink and purple!  So I started with a dirty pour.  This really is fun to do, if a bit messy, but you just never know how it's going to turn out.




I then decided to see if I could add a stamped image but painted the tissue paper first to make it blend in.





...and finally, some plain candles using an ombré effect.

Birthday Blog Candy!

My Surprise For Tony!!

As promised, I'm back to let you in on my surprise for Tony tomorrow! Don't know where to start with this but maybe a little personal history first. When I married Tony in 1996 I was a UK size 14. I've always had to watch my weight and never been naturally thin but was never vastly overweight either. In March 1997 I fell pregnant with Lewis and that's when the trouble started.....the weight piled on and after he was born as well because I wasn't eating properly and just grabbing food out of the fridge when I had a spare five minutes.....oh, the joys of being a new Mum! Then I got pregnant again with Sam and even though I didn't gain much more weight during pregnancy, I made up for it afterwards! Am I boring you yet! It took me ten years and many failed diets to finally get serious about losing weight so I started my diet in January this year and this is the evidence....... please do not show the first photo to small children or animals as it may scare them !!!!!...
