Something a Bit Different!

There's been a lot of excitement recently about Tim Holtz Distress Oxides which seemed to be selling out as soon as they got to the shops.  I have patiently waited, sitting on my hands, until now that is and finally bit the bullet and bought the set.  Yesterday, I had a few hours to myself so thought I would give them a go and wow! do I love them!  So easy to use and such good results for backgrounds. 

Here are my first two attempts - my Son has claimed the first one for his new bedroom so will have to frame it.  I think I will make the second one into a card.

Birthday Blog Candy!

My Surprise For Tony!!

As promised, I'm back to let you in on my surprise for Tony tomorrow! Don't know where to start with this but maybe a little personal history first. When I married Tony in 1996 I was a UK size 14. I've always had to watch my weight and never been naturally thin but was never vastly overweight either. In March 1997 I fell pregnant with Lewis and that's when the trouble started.....the weight piled on and after he was born as well because I wasn't eating properly and just grabbing food out of the fridge when I had a spare five minutes.....oh, the joys of being a new Mum! Then I got pregnant again with Sam and even though I didn't gain much more weight during pregnancy, I made up for it afterwards! Am I boring you yet! It took me ten years and many failed diets to finally get serious about losing weight so I started my diet in January this year and this is the evidence....... please do not show the first photo to small children or animals as it may scare them !!!!!...
