What a Star!

My youngest son Sam who is five entered a colouring competition which his school's PTFA was holding. He loves colouring and has always been very careful to keep within the lines etc so he was very excited by this competition. Anyway, he charged out of school today shouting "I won it!" To be honest, I had forgotten they were judging the entries yesterday at the school's craft fayre which unfortunately, we couldn't attend because of the bad weather so what a lovely surprise to see his excited little face this afternoon! I've attached a couple of photos of him, one is of him with his actual entry and the other is him holding his prize. Well done Sam!

Glitter Pot Competition

Thought I would add this card quickly before I have to go and pick my little darlings up from school and my peace is shattered! The Glitter Pot is running a christmas card competition. When I saw this advertised, I had only just bought this Penny Black stamp which I absolutely adore - another cute one. Anyway, made this card up and decided to try my luck with it. I have embossed a piece of light blue Bazzill c.s. with the Cuttlebug snowflakes folder and fixed it to front of card. Stamped and coloured image with Brushables and mounted onto two different tones of blue c.s. I then stamped the sentiment (Penny Black) and used Woodware circle punch and scalloped punch, cut to size, then fixed onto front of card and attached a piece of co-ordinating ribbon across the front.

A Card for Kim

Kim at Simply Fairies is offering some blog candy which includes a Magnolia stamp. All you have to do is send her a birthday card which hasn't been on your blog before. I absolutely adore the Tilda stamps and thought it appropriate to do a card with my first Magnolia stamp which I've only had a couple of weeks (I've since acquired another three!!) See what you think. A piece of light blue Bazzill c.s. was embossed with Cuttlebug swirls and stuck to front of card. The image was coloured with Brushables and mounted onto two different shades of Bazzill c.s. and then fixed to card using foam pads. Two Papermania flowers and brads were added to card and finally the sentiment from Pink Petticoat was layered onto c.s. and fixed down the side of the card.

Pink Petticoat Christmas Cards

Well, at least the sun is out today and it's less windy - really nice change after the terrible storms we had at the weekend. Roll on the Spring! Here's a few cards I made a month or two ago after discovering Pink Petticoat designs. They're so quick and easy to make that it makes them ideal for Christmas when you've got loads of cards to produce. Will be back later to load some more cards on.

A Couple of Christmas Cards

Here's a couple of Christmas cards I've made. The first (Mistletoe Bear) is a card I originally made for the DoCrafts competition. It didn't make it to the last thirty (sob! sob!) but I still like it!!! The second is a Whipper Snapper snowman which I bought a couple of years ago but I tend to use it each Christmas because he is soooo cute! and the last card is an Elzybels mouse - I do tend to be attracted to the cutey rubber stamps .... must be the child within! Hope you like them.

First Card Added

This is my first attempt at loading a photo of one of my cards onto the blog so, fingers crossed, here goes. It's a star card I made today for my Gt Nephew Freddie for his 1st Christmas. It's not as detailed as I wanted to make it but I had VERY short notice and had to make it in about an hour so it was really rushed.

First Time

I feel a bit weird saying Hi cause I've only just set up my blog today and feel I'm probably talking to myself, so if anyone does happen to come across my little bit of space please let me know you're there! I'm hoping to find time over the next few days (christmas and kids allowing!) to set up the blog properly cause at the moment, it's in its basic form with nothing on it LOL. I'm also going to have a go at loading some of my cards I've made over the last couple of months so at least there is something on it! Watch this space!
