When is a Die Cut not a Die Cut?

....when it's a stencil!  Here's a very simple but effective card just using a sentiment stamp, a die cut and two distressing inks. I've made three of these cards, each with different sentiments - Just for You, Happy Birthday and Deepest Sympathy.  I think it works for any occasion.

Anyone for Ice-cream?

I've been having a play with my Way Too Sweet stamps from Altenew and working my way through the projects Lydia demonstrated on C&C recently.  Here's the result....

Two Butterflies with One Stone!

I've recently discovered Altenew stamps and after watching the talented Lydia demonstrate, thought I would have a go too. I had to make a "Thank You" card and a "Sympathy" card and thought this design would work perfectly for both. All stamps are from Altenew apart from the "Thinking of You" which is from SU.  Inks are Distress Inks from Tim Holtz.

More Sewing Projects

I'm trying to catch up with projects I've recently completed so thought I would start with the sewing related ones. Firstly, I've completed another bag where I tackled pleats and piping on a small scale... The next project was one which I should have completed last Christmas!  Unfortunately, I haven't been well and alot of projects got postponed, including this one! It's actually a doorstop, however, will be using it as a Christmas decoration later this year! Finally, I tackled oil cloth and zips in one project and it was alot simpler than I had thought... I've decided to use this as storage for my Tilda fat quarters and charm packs as it's quite roomy - in fact it would also work as a shoe bag as well as the obvious wash bag.
