Stamp Something Spooky!

Happy Halloween to everyone! I've got two very excited boys who can't wait to dress up and are going to a Halloween Party this afternoon. That will mean I'll have a couple of hours to myself but unfortunately, have to pop into town to tax my car - yes, it passed its MoT, thank goodness!! Well, it may be Halloween but it's also Friday which means another challenge on Stamp Something and, of course, it had to be something spooky! < For the card, I've used an image from Sugar Nellie and coloured it with Promarkers, which took all of five seconds!!!! The papers are a free download, as is the sentiment. Cardstock is Bazzill. Bat brad is Karen Foster and other brads are from my stash. The bags were made from a Digital Download which was just folded in half and attached to the bag of chocolate eyeballs. I've kept it very simple as I had quite a few to make for all the boys' friends. One more thing to share with you - I made this scrapbook page last year and did

Back again!

As promised, here's the card I said I would post. My broody feelings have subsided a little after spending the evening with my two boys fighting and arguing! I've used a Magnolia stamp coloured with Promarkers with some Glamour Dust on his wings. DP is DCWV and c.s. is Bazzill. Ribbon is Dovecraft and sentiment stamp is from Cats Life Press. Off to watch a bit of TV now.....have a good evening.

Broody, what me?!!!!

Sorry I haven't posted a card yet today but have been out visiting our new baby Ruby and thought you might like to take a peek. Not a wonderful photo of me but just look at her.....isn't she a little darling!! I've told Sam that I'm going to dress him up in baby clothes and cuddle him all day!!! Will be back later with a card to share.

Sarah Kay Take II!

Here's another Sarah Kay stamp which hadn't been used I'm ashamed to say so thought I'd better make use of her......she's so pretty! I've coloured her with Promarkers and the DP is from My Minds Eye (this is more like cardstock as it is so thick!). More stitching around the edges!, some flowers from Poppicrafts with some Papermania sticky gems in the centres. The sentiment stamp is from Cats Life Press. Must rush as I've got to take my car to the garage for its MoT - wish me luck!!!!

More Stitching!

Seem to have spent a bit more time in my craft space recently and am lovin' using my sewing machine on my cards! I've been keeping the layouts really simple and managed to come up with this one. The image is Sarah Kay which has been coloured with Promarkers and added some doodling around the edges. DP is DCWV. Jumbo brads are from SU, ribbon is from my stash and sentiment is Woodware.....I think!!! Bright sunny day here today so am hoping to get alot done.

Happy Birthday Jess!

Needed to make a card for my friend's Daughter who was 14 on Saturday and after searching through my stamps, found another uninked stamp which seemed perfect for Jess - ipodabella!! Also got to use some papers/card I bought a while back and also thought I'd have a go at doing some sewing on the card - I know it's a bit wonky but was quite pleased with the overall effect! The image is obviously a Bella and has been coloured with Promarkers. DP is My Minds Eye and used the SU scallop punch on the reverse of the DP and layered the sentiment onto it (also SU). Finished with some sewing!! Had a couple of pieces of good news lately, (1) my Niece had her baby on Thursday morning - Ruby Jayne so will be taking the boys up to see their new Cousin this week, and (2) passed my first exam on Friday with only one error!! I'm studying from home so I can up-date my CV and get a decent job - that's one of the reasons why I haven't been about lately. Hope you all had a good wee

Something for the Birds

Friday already which means it's time for another Stamp Something challenge and this week it's Something for the Birds. Wasn't sure if I interpreted this one correctly and after a quick scan through my stamps, found this totally cute duck from Penny Black and decided that it was about time I started on my Christmas cards. The image is called Carolling Duck and is from Penny Black and I've coloured him with Promarkers and added some Glamour Dust to his hat. Red c.s. is from Stampin Up and blue c.s. is Bazzill and has been run through with the Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder. DP is Papermania which I won from Jenny . Sentiment is Pink Petticoat, flowers and ribbon are from Poppicrafts and brads are from my stash (Papermania I think!). There's more gorgeous candy on offer again this week so well worth a visit!!

Howdy!

Sam's got a party to go to today so made up a quick card yesterday using a couple of stamps I've had for a while which hadn't been inked up. The cowboy and sentiment are from Lizzie Ann Designs and the wagon is from Alota. They have been coloured with Promarkers. Paper is from Basic Grey and have used an SU punch for one corner of the layers and a brad from my stash and that's it!! Hope you're having a great weekend!

Sketch Something Challenge

The challenge on Stamp Something this week is a sketch by the talented Katharina of Whiff of Joy stamps and here's the sketch..... and here's my take on it........ I know it's not exactly the same but I adjusted it slightly to fit in with what I had. The image is Good Luck Charlie from Whiff of Joy as is the sentiment and Charlie has been coloured with Promarkers. Papers are from Dovecraft (part of my SS package!) and ribbon is also from Dovecraft. Hardware is from Making Memories. There's some scrummy candy on offer this week so do pop on over and take a look at the fantastic creations by the other DT members.

Secret Sister Reveal

Hi All, back along I took part in a Secret Sister swap organised by Michelle of The Card Grotto, and today is the big reveal when we all find out who our Secret Sister is. I must admit, I have absolutely no idea who mine is so SS if you happen to read this, could you please let me know as unfortunately, I do not have a list of the blogs of the people who took part! I have to post a picture of the card I sent with my package, which you may remember..... So Denise , of The Crafty Den.....yes, I'm your Secret Sister!!! Thanks so much to Michelle for organising it - it was great fun not only to receive a package full of goodies but also putting a box of crafty bits together for someone else! Will be back tomorrow with a card to show. PS Thought I'd better add a photo of the goodies I sent to Denise, which I nabbed off her blog!

Family Fun!

Hi All, sorry but no cards to show today as I've been busy trying to get some order to my craft stash so I can knuckle down and do some work! Also, had an excellent weekend and a really fun day out on Saturday at Paultons Park. The weather was fantastic and I think we managed to go on nearly every ride....I think the highlight of the day had to be the Go Carts - me and Sam -v- Tony and Lewis - which ended in a draw, but what a scream!!! The log ride came a close second where, of course, they were all trying to fix it so I was the only one who got soaking wet!! We were exhausted by the time we got home but was able to spend a very relaxing evening with plenty of wine! Anyway, thought I would share a couple of photos with you and will be back soon with some cards.

Stamp Something "For a Friend"

That's the challenge on Stamp Something this week and how very appropriate for me. I didn't realise until recently how many caring friends I do have both in the flesh and in blogland and I've also re-discovered my best friend! So this card is for all of my pals out there and is sent with a big hug and MWAH!!!!! The image is Magnolia and was a RAK from Vanessa and I have coloured her with Promarkers (Tilda, not Vanessa!!). DP is Basic Grey and frame around Tilda has been made with mirricard and Bazzill c.s. using one of my oval Nestabilities. Added some doodling around the edges, flowers from my stash, a Papermania brad and Papermania sticky gems. Sentiment is from Autumn Leaves. You must pop over and take a look at all the wonderful creations the other girls on the DT have come up with, plus if you have a go yourself, there's a chance of winning some fantastic blog candy!

Soggy Sunday!!

Well, we survived the high winds and rain yesterday. Today started off well....sunshine and no winds....however, it's now started raining again!! Guess the Summer is over! Tony has popped up his Mum's with the boys so thought I would make the most of the time and post this card which I made yesterday morning. Must apologise for the poor picture, however, it is so dark here at the moment, found it difficult to find enough light to take the photo. The image is H & S and was a RAK and I've coloured her with Promarkers. Did a bit of paper pricking around the edges before mounting her onto blue card. The plain and patterned card are both Pink Petticoat. The sentiment is a digital download and again, has been mounted onto the same blue card. Finally I added a little embellishment I made myself. Not sure what you call it but got the idea from Jose who gave me the pins and some of the beads - the blue beads are from Craft Central. Oops, nearly forgot, sticky gems are from Pap

Under the Weather

Well, I've completed a card at long last! Sorry I didn't post it yesterday but had a VERY late night on Tuesday and then spent the whole day with Tony yesterday so have finally found five minutes to post it on my blog. It's nothing special I'm afraid and the layout is very basic but it will do! The image and sentiment are MFT and has been coloured with Marvy (gasp!) - this was coloured ages ago before I received my Promarkers! Cardstock is Bazzill and DP is DCWV (thought it represented the raindrops!). Used the SU slot punch to attach the ribbon and had a real struggle because of the thickness of the card! Brads are Bazzill and ribbon is from my stash.
